- The child’s present level of educational performance
- Current abilities, skills, weaknesses, strengths
- The results of evaluations and assessments
- Special education services to be provided
- Accommodations and modifications
- Supplemental aids and services
- Annual educational goals
- How the child’s progress will be measured and reported
- How much a child will participate in general education classes and other activities
- Date that the plan will go into effect
- A transition plan for when the child turns 16
- Extended school year services

The video below is of a sample of an IEP meeting. This video was made and placed on youtube by a group of students in a special education class for an example. This is, however, a great example of what could possible be discussed in a meeting for a student with an IEP.

Reflection:
For this competency, I found several articles online to explain what an Individualized Education Program is and how it can be implemented in the classroom. For my artifact, I created a chart on Microsoft Word that outlines who are involved in an IEP meeting. I also found a YouTube video was made by a group of students in a special education class. The video explains what happens in an IEP meeting. Additionally, I added two different examples of IEPs that I found on the internet. *I do not know the students in these examples and I believe pseudonyms were used. Many children learn through videos, especially in this era. I think that YouTube videos are important to learn material because it can be presented in a way that teachers are unable to teach. It's a form of differentiated instruction.
